South African media personality Pearl Modiadie has sued the South African Broadcasting Commission (SABC) R3.5 million for allegedly doing nothing about the sexual harassment claims she made against her former station manager, Anthony Soglo.

Earlier this year former Metro FM radio host Pearl Modiadie revealed how she faced sexual harassment at the hands of the station manager who made her feel uncomfortable on more than one occasion while they worked together at the radio station.

According to Pearl, Anthony Soglo had sent her inappropriate emails and made sexual comments about her body. She also claims that even after telling him that his behaviour is inappropriate and receiving an apology from him, the “jokes” continued.
