Globally they will know "Ase trap ke pina tsa ko kasi" as Focalistic's 'Ke Star' remix reaches Billboard charts.
South African rapper, Focalistic, a.k.a. Maradona, is flying our flag high globally with his 'Ke Star' remix featuring Vigro Deep and Davido (from Nigeria). The amapiano sensationalist has been performing across Africa, from Nigeria to Kenya, hypnotising audiences with his platinum banger 'Ke Star'. Last year, while in Nigeria, an electrifying video on social media showed the crowd singing its chorus and earlier in February 2021 he appeared with Nigerian afrobeats artist, D'banj, in a Rolls Royce playing the smash hit.
Focalistic's ability to bend music genres, hip hop and amapiano, cutapulted his success. MTV Base named him 2020's Hottest MC. Also, he is part of countless hits; Ricky Rick's 'Ungazincishi', Skhaftin by Major League DJZ and Scorpion Kings' 'Sandton', to mention a few.
'Onoroko', a single from his Sgubhu Ses Excellent album, recently reached #1 on Metro FM's Top 40.
Now, with 'Ke Star' remix featuring Davido, his stardom is bound to reach new unimagined heights. The remix made by one of amapiano's great talents, DJ and producer Vigro Deep, also from Pretoria like Focalistic, is #16 on Billboard's Top Triller Global Chart. Saweetie, G-Eazy and Cardi B are some artists included on it.
'Ke Star' remix's music video is currently #4 on YouTube's trending topics with more than 420 000 (four hundred and twenty thousand) views and the original has more than three million views.
Congratulations are in order!
