With a new app, Facebook is helping aspiring rappers bypass the expensive studio sessions and get their art out to the masses. The experimental platform called Bars provides professionally created beats that artists can rap over in 60-second videos. Users will be able to amp up their performances with audio and visual filters, including an auto-tune effect, and it'll also recommend rhymes for beginners. For those who consider themselves advanced, a Challenge mode gives rappers the chance to freestyle based on auto-suggested word cues.
Once completed, videos are uploaded in a TikTok-like feed and viewers can rate them with fire emojis.
