Dubbed The Daily Social Distancing Show since the Covid-19 pandemic broke, this is the first time since March 2020 that Noah will be back in studio to host the show. Hosting the show from his apartment throughout the year, the show now moves to parent company ViacomCBS’ corporate headquarters in Times Square.

The new studios are simpler than the previous set-up but it’s said to include ‘state-of-the-art’ capabilities. Noah hosted the first show on Monday night. He had a laid-back discussion with veteran correspondent Roy Wood Jr., on the latest Covid-19 variants and touched on Kanye West’s DONDA. Noah also held a virtual Q&A with National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr Anthony Fauci.

Keeping to his promise for a more relaxed feel, Noah opted for a casual sweater instead of his tailored suit. The show went on without a live studio audience and there are no plans for the return of an audience. The SA comedian is currently in London serving up laughs during his #BackToNormalTour.
