Kid Cudi has announced that his documentary, A Man Named Scott, is going to be Amazon Prime Video on Nov. 5. He shared the first trailer featuring interviews, live footage, and fan testimonials.
The documentary also explores the darker side of fame. While his career was taking off, he was battling his own demons. “I just had a hard time dealing with the adjustments from being Scott to being Kid Cudi,” said Cudi, who went to rehab in 2016 for depression. “People look up to me, but I’m not a happy person ’cause I felt like a fraud. That’s what drove me to escape from reality.”
Cudi has more film projects on the horizon including the Netflix movie Don’t Look Up starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. He has also collaborated with JAY-Z on a song called “My Guns Go Bang” for the soundtrack to The Harder They Fall.
